NMPA conducts swift mid-sea medical evacuation, saves crew member’s life

MANGALURU : New Mangaluru Port Authority (NMPA) successfully executed a critical mid-sea emergency medical evacuation today after a crew member aboard the merchant vessel M.V. AMNS STALLION suffered a stroke and became unconscious.

Acting on an urgent distress call, NMPA deployed its tug Ocean Harmony, which promptly reached the vessel and safely transferred the ailing crew member. Upon arrival at the port, the patient was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital using the NMPA ambulance for advanced medical care.

Port officials confirmed that the timely coordination and swift response of the marine and medical teams ensured the patient received essential treatment without delay.

NMPA extended heartfelt appreciation to all team members involved in the life-saving operation.
