PIPAVAV : APM Terminals Pipavav has further reinforced its commitment to operational safety and emergency preparedness with the induction of a state-of-the-art Multipurpose Fire Tender, significantly enhancing the port’s ability to respond swiftly and effectively to a wide range of emergency situations.

The newly inducted fire tender was inaugurated by the Managing Director of APM Terminals Pipavav, Girish Aggarwal, in the presence of the company’s senior management team. The ceremony included the formal handover of the vehicle’s keys to the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) team, which showcased the advanced firefighting and rescue capabilities of the new equipment through a live demonstration.

Equipped with modern firefighting technologies, the Multipurpose Fire Tender integrates water, foam and dry chemical extinguishing systems, enabling rapid response to diverse fire scenarios, including industrial, electrical and hazardous material incidents. The vehicle is also fitted with advanced rescue and support equipment, allowing emergency teams to respond more efficiently during accidents, rescue operations and other critical situations.
