VISAKHAPATNAM : J M Baxi, a leading integrated logistics and maritime services group, has highlighted a major operational milestone achieved at Visakha Container Terminal, with the terminal successfully handling its highest-ever volume of Out-of-Gauge (OOG) cargo in a single vessel operation.
The record-setting operation involved the safe discharge of 108 Out-of-Gauge 40-FEU containers from the breakbulk vessel M.V. Hong Yao, carrying specialised cargo for M/s. Saatvik Solar’s Gopalpur plant project.
The achievement marks a significant advancement in the terminal’s project cargo handling capabilities, demonstrating its ability to efficiently manage high-volume, oversized and specialised cargo associated with major industrial projects.
