GCCI leadership meets Gujarat Chief Secretary, discusses strengthening of state’s business and industrial ecosystem

GANDHINAGAR : A delegation of the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI), led by Shri Rajesh Gandhi, President, GCCI, paid a courtesy visit on Monday, August 10, to Shri Manoj Kumar Das, IAS, Chief Secretary to the Government of Gujarat, at Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar.

The GCCI delegation also met Ms. Mamta Verma, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries and Mines Department, Government of Gujarat, and Shri Swaroop P, Industries Commissioner, Government of Gujarat, as part of the engagement.

The interaction provided an important platform for a meaningful exchange of views on key issues concerning Gujarat’s business, trade and industrial development. Discussions focused on the importance of strengthening coordination between the State Government and the business community to create an increasingly conducive environment for investment, enterprise and sustainable industrial growth.

During the meeting, the GCCI office bearers extended their greetings to the senior government officials and engaged in constructive discussions on matters of mutual interest. The interaction highlighted the significance of continued dialogue between industry stakeholders and policymakers in addressing emerging business requirements and further strengthening Gujarat’s position as a leading industrial and investment destination.

The delegation comprised Shri Jigish Doshi, Senior Vice President; Shri Hiten Vasant, Vice President; Shri Navroz Tarapore, Honorary Secretary; and Shri Dhruvil Patel, Honorary Treasurer, GCCI.

The engagement comes at a time when Gujarat continues to strengthen its industrial and trade ecosystem through investments, infrastructure development, business facilitation and policy initiatives. Industry bodies such as GCCI play an important role in conveying the concerns, expectations and opportunities emerging across the State’s diverse business sectors.

The GCCI leadership expressed its commitment to continued collaboration and constructive engagement with the Government of Gujarat, with the objective of contributing to a stronger, more competitive and business-friendly industrial ecosystem.

The meeting reaffirmed the shared importance of industry–government partnership in supporting investment, facilitating trade and enabling sustainable economic and industrial development across Gujarat.
