NEW DELHI : The Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) to establish a collaborative framework aimed at strengthening India’s export cold chain ecosystem and promoting efficient logistics solutions for agricultural and processed food exports.
The MoU was signed on September 17, 2026, in New Delhi, marking an important step towards enhancing cooperation between CONCOR and APEDA for developing more efficient, reliable and integrated logistics solutions to support India’s agricultural and processed food export sector.
APEDA is a statutory authority established under the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority Act, 1985 (Act No. 2 of 1986), under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.
The collaboration is expected to provide a stronger institutional framework for leveraging cold chain logistics and transportation capabilities, facilitating efficient movement of temperature-sensitive agricultural and processed food products and supporting their access to domestic and international markets.
The signing ceremony was attended by Shri Abhishek Dev, IAS, Chairman, APEDA, and Shri A.K. Panda, CMD, CONCOR, along with Shri Vijoy Kumar Singh, Director – International Marketing & Operations, CONCOR, Shri Vivek Gupta, Director – Finance, CONCOR, and senior officers from both organisations.
The partnership reflects the shared focus of CONCOR and APEDA on strengthening logistics infrastructure and improving supply-chain efficiency for India’s agri-food exports. Enhanced cold chain solutions can contribute to maintaining product quality, reducing supply-chain losses and facilitating smoother movement of export-oriented agricultural and processed food products.
CONCOR expressed its appreciation to APEDA for reposing its trust in CONCOR’s cold chain logistics services, reaffirming its commitment to supporting India’s growing export requirements through integrated and efficient logistics solutions.
The MoU marks another step towards closer institutional cooperation for building a robust, efficient and export-oriented cold chain ecosystem, supporting India’s agricultural and processed food products in global markets.
