NEW DELHI : Reinforcing its unwavering commitment to safety and operational excellence, the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) welcomed Sh. Hitendra Malhotra, Director General/Safety, Railway Board, during his visit to the DFCCIL Corporate Office.
Sh. Praveen Kumar, Managing Director, DFCCIL, received the distinguished visitor and highlighted the organisation’s continued focus on maintaining the highest standards of safety across the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) network while supporting India’s rapidly expanding freight transportation ecosystem.
During the visit, Sh. Hitendra Malhotra held an extensive interaction with the senior leadership of DFCCIL, reviewing key aspects related to operational safety, preparedness, risk mitigation, and the adoption of best practices for safe and efficient freight train operations. Discussions also covered strengthening the safety culture across the DFC network through continuous monitoring, technological interventions, capacity building, and adherence to robust safety protocols.
The meeting provided a valuable platform for exchanging insights on enhancing operational resilience, improving incident prevention mechanisms, and ensuring the continued reliability and efficiency of freight corridor operations. The importance of proactive safety management, regular inspections, employee awareness, and close coordination among various operational departments was also emphasised.
The interaction was attended by Sh. Shobhit Bhatnagar, Director (Operations & Business Development); Sh. P. K. Rai, Director (Projects & Planning); Sh. B. Mugunthan, Director (Finance); Sh. Parmod Kumar, Chief Vigilance Officer, along with other senior officials of DFCCIL.
