SINGAPORE: Ocean Network Express (ONE) has reaffirmed its commitment to developing the next generation of maritime professionals by supporting the MaritimeONE Scholarship Programme 2026, with this year’s scholarship award ceremony in Singapore recognising 61 tertiary students pursuing diverse academic disciplines linked to the future of the maritime industry.
The ceremony brought together scholars, their families, maritime industry leaders and representatives from across Singapore’s maritime community. The event was graced by Mr Murali Pillai, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Law and Ministry of Transport, highlighting the importance of developing a strong and future-ready talent pipeline for Singapore’s maritime sector.
The 2026 cohort represents a broad range of disciplines, including engineering, law, computer science, data analytics and business. The diversity of academic backgrounds reflects the evolving requirements of the maritime industry, where traditional maritime expertise is increasingly complemented by digital technologies, data-driven decision-making and sustainability-focused solutions.
