TUTICORIN : A proud logistics milestone at V.O. Chidambaranar Port with rail dispatch of 100 VinFast electric vehicles
The Port’s state-of-the-art Marshalling Yard at Tuticorin enabled the rail dispatch of 100 VinFast electric vehicles to Ballabhgarh, Haryana, aboard the newly introduced NMG (Newly Modified Goods) Wagons.

The consignment was flagged off in the presence of Shri Sanjiv Garg, IRTS, Former Additional Member, Railway Board; Shri Sriram V., IRTS, Former Director, IRCTC; and officials from VinFast and V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority.
Developed across 16.25 acres, the Marshalling Yard is equipped with dedicated RCC loading platforms, internal road infrastructure and seamless rail connectivity—providing industry with a modern, efficient gateway for cargo movement.
This dispatch demonstrates the Port’s growing capability to support automobile logistics, multimodal connectivity and faster cargo evacuation through purpose-built infrastructure.
