ROTTERDAM: The Green Award Foundation (GAF) announces the appointment of Mr. Saurabh Sachdeva as its new Executive Director. Mr. Sachdeva will succeed Mr. Jan Fransen, who has led the Foundation with remarkable distinction for over thirty years and will retire upon completion of a planned handover.
Mr. Sachdeva joins GAF from BP Shipping, where he held various senior leadership positions for more than a decade across shipping. He has also most recently served as a senior executive with OCIMF, as its P&A Director and the Chief accredited representative to the IMO. He brings over 25 years of global industry and strategic leadership experience across shipping, oil & gas, and inland barging sectors and is a qualified Master Mariner.
The Executive Board welcomes Mr. Sachdeva, recognising this appointment as a pivotal step in GAF’s continued growth and commitment as a global hallmark for safety and environmental standards and certifications, covering ocean-going, port, and inland shipping sectors.
