NEW DELHI : Union Minister Shri Piyush Goyal held a meeting with Mr. Masahiko Kato, President & CEO of Mizuho Bank, to discuss opportunities for deepening financial cooperation and expanding the bank’s footprint in India.
The discussions focused on scaling up Mizuho Bank’s existing investments in India and exploring new avenues for collaboration across priority sectors. Both sides deliberated on strengthening financial linkages, enhancing capital flows, and supporting innovation-driven growth in alignment with India’s expanding economic landscape.
The meeting also underscored the strong and enduring economic partnership between India and Japan. The dialogue highlighted opportunities in areas such as infrastructure financing, manufacturing, clean energy, digital innovation, and support for MSMEs, where Japanese financial institutions can play a catalytic role.
